Movement serial number 6937195 dates the watch to 1945, which given the superlative case and dial condition makes perfect sense - issued by the MOD to the British Military, this was one of 12 branded custom orders issued to the military during WWII - alongside Omega, Jaeger LeCoultre, Lemania and others, the Longines is favoured amongst collectors for it's large step case and cathedral hands - add to this that the Longines is thought to have been made in only 8000 units, this is a collectible watch indeed.
Needless to say the dial is all original, with numerals, borad arrow and Longines lettering faultlessly intact with the slight sheen and warm cream tone that only comes with the passing of time
Service history unknown, but currently running strong and keeping excellent time
